I apologize for the inconvenience. As you may already know, IPMI is often a very buggy technology prone to freezing, lock-ups, etc. The problems with IPMI are well-documented and thoroughly discussed on various forums and mailing lists. We've been in contact with Supermicro regarding the IPMI issues, but it does not appear that Supermicro will fix the problems any time soon -- even with the latest firmware, the problems persist.
One of the primary causes of the IPMI problems is that your IPMI unit has a public IP address. Being exposed to public Internet traffic can cause the IPMI to lock up over time. We have plans to migrate your IPMI (and the IPMI units for all of our other dedicated server customers) to a private network and then provide you with a 扶墙 with which to access your IPMI. However, that migration is still a couple weeks out.
For the time being, we can fix your IPMI by performing a full power cycle on your dedicated server. Would it be alright if I powered down your server now or would you prefer that we schedule the power down during a maintenance window?
