Dear valued customer,
We have noticed a compatibility issue on a particular group of nodes with the Intel E5-2620v4 processors and KVM virtualization. We have attempted, and will continue to attempt patches on these nodes, however, the continued reboots have created an unpleasant experience for customers. While we do credit customers for any downtime, we understand why reboots every few weeks may be an extreme inconvenience. We are getting close to resolving the issue, but as a precaution we have decided to migrate the following nodes to stable servers.
The estimated downtime will be around 6~ hours for each node but we will attempt to stagger the migrations so only a portion of the node will be down at a time. We will try our best to ensure that your server's IP does not change.
Buffalo: NYKVM5, NYKVM6, NYKVM7, NYKVM8, NYKVM10
Atlanta: ATLKVM2
Los Angeles: LAKVM2
There are other nodes with this issue, but we are unable to migrate everyone at this time. We do have a new patch that we believe should solve the problem, but if you prefer, please contact us to see if we have room to migrate you individually as well.
The dates for migrations are as follows:
NYKVM5, NYKVM6 - 5/9/2017
NYKVM7, NYKVM8 - 5/10/2017
NYKVM10, LAKVM2 - 5/11/2017
ATLKVM2 - 5/12/2017 (May change, check network status page)
If you have any questions or concerns, would like to be migrated early, or if your node is not listed but you would still like to be migrated, please let us know through our ticket system.
Thanks,
Syed A.
